Review of Straight Outta Compton (2015) by Tim R — 23 Jul 2016

I feel like I would have much rather just watched a really in depth documentary. It felt like a very Lifetime straight to DVD type of movie. Maybe partly because these guys are all so huge in the world, so recognizable, that any small discrepancy and they lose me. Especially Snoop Dogg... that actor wasnt even close! All very strange considering my favorite critic, Richard Roper, had this to say: "The casting in Straight Outta Compton is universally pitch perfect, including brief cameos by Keith Stanfield as Snoop and Marcc Rose as Tupac that are fantastically spot on.".

Couldn't disagree more.
