Review of Straight Outta Compton (2015) by Peteray — 19 May 2016
10...!!! EXTRAORDINARY MOVIE...!!! Undoubtedly, the best movie I have seen in at least five years. I love movies about musicians and rate this in the same league as WALK THE LINE and RAY. Phenomenal acting, excellent plot, and witty hard-hitting dialogue.
Performances were all spectacular, heartfelt, and multi-dimensional. Each portrayal truly brought the character to life and made them a real, breathing, believable human being full of unique traits. This movie was long, and I was glad, because I didn't want it to end! I wanted it to keep going, and going!
Whether you like NWA, or rap at all, this is GREAT AMERICAN CINEMA.
