Straight Outta Compton is one of my top ten favorite movies. This legacy film about the NWA is everything a great biopic should be. The performances are incredible across the entire cast. Every shot is masterful.
The inclusion of the music elevates the story. Every single line of dialogue drives the story forward. The best part about Straight Outta Compton is that you become so invested in the characters and the story that you forget you're watching a movie.
You are really transported to this period in rap history. Eazy-E, Ice Cube, and Dr. Dre got an amazing send up by this film, and this film will keep the ultimately human story of the NWA real for years to come.
