Brutal honesty and grit is not only in their music, but in their story. Straight Outta Compton is an unexpectedly epic biopic about a bunch of friends that ended up revolutionizing the music industry.

F. Gary Gray manages to make every second bold and thrilling. When @#%^ hits, it hits hard. The cast is also solid and have great chemistry, but it's the picture's rebellious and raw approach that makes this film truly impactful. Straight Outta Compton is an empowering and eye-opening picture all-round and definitely one of the most exciting films of the year.
