Review of Straight Outta Compton (2015) by Abigail P — 23 Jul 2016

I don't know what took me so long to see this movie. All of the trailers looked amazing and the movie itself was incredible. I watched the extended 2 hours 45 minutes version, but it did not seem long at all.

It is very fast paced and entertaining, while also inspiring. I would recommend this movie to people who have an appreciation of music. "Straight Outta Compton" does a marvelous job at showing an iconic glimpse into the rap/hip hop community while putting it into context with what was going on culturally and politically in the United States at the time.
