Review of Stormy Night (2005) by Elise C — 12 Sep 2015

Different style of animation than I usually see with these films, but certainly gorgeous visually, which meets those high standards. The story reminds me of a fable and there certainly seems to be some Disney influences, maybe Looney Tunes too.

There are some very cartoony moments. I don't see that very often in a generally serious anime. It touches on some deep themes, even for me as an adult, there's a certain scene that's difficult to even fathom.

A touching tale of an unlikely, and unbreakable friendship. It had me in tears by the end. This is a gem of a film that deserves to be seen more.
