Review of Storks (2016) by Spencer K — 01 Oct 2016
"We can't let it get out that we accidentally made a baby!".
The trailers for this film absolutely didn't do it for me, but walking out of Storks I was very pleasantly surprised by it. Storks is a candy colored, sugar fueled, energetic film. it's animation is beautiful, bright and colorful and truly a visual treat. the story is fun and unique enough that it pulled me in to the story fairly well, even if it could get a little too over complicated at times. the voice cast is talented and I liked all the characters except for one extremely very annoying bird. It was grating to listen to this certain character speak. If you see it, you'll know exactly who I'm talking about. There was a certain scene near the end when the characters are trying to keep quiet that had me dying of laughter I was almost on the floor. Storks is harmless fluff, and it doesn't demand enough from its audience so that it works as a very entertaining, often very funny, little animated film that the whole family can enjoy.
