An interesting and somewhat artistic idea of using old super 8 film and the juxtaposing stories of contemporaries in telling the story of a now deceased person. The fact that the person is the director's mother lends the story a lot of emotional weight but unfortunately I wasn't entirely convinced by it.
It ultimately feels like an exercise in navel gazing and the manipulation of the old footage to weave the story becomes a little tiresome.
