Review of Stories We Tell (2012) by Michael V — 06 Oct 2013
A deeply personally, low-key family documentary (or interrogation) from Sarah Polley that intrigues us instantly with a mystery involving a family secret; but soon becomes a whole lot more. This is a brilliant experiment that will have you rethinking the documentary and the nature of storytelling forever.
.. and that's as bold a cinematic feat as I've experienced in 2013.
