Review of Stories We Tell (2012) by Lama B — 10 Nov 2013
An enthralling memoir of Sarah Polley's search for her biological father. Told by multiple individuals with unique points of view the story evolves into something vastly more interesting than a simple DNA match.
It becomes an exploration of the human condition, of love, loss, joy, pain, forgiveness, reconciliation and resignation. The intelligence, introspection and creativity of the narrators (it's in their DNA) makes this a transcend ant experience.
On HBO now, don't miss it!
