OK, you know it is bad when even Sylvester Stallone said this film was the worst he ever starred in his entire career. Of course Stallone owns the Razzies and will never be given credit as a good actor even when he does well (see Cop Land).
However, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot was just plain awful. How in the world did Estelle Getty even agree to do a film like this? Did she lose a bet with Betty White and Bea Arthur on the set of the Golden Girls? Was Rue McClanahan too busy? What was Roger Spottiswoode thinking? I mean, Spottiswoode will never be compared to Billy Wilder or Steven Spielberg, but this was absurd.
Sad thing is, this film has attained cult status because it was so bad. I would like to blame this film for effectively ending JoBeth Williams's career. Just awful. I cannot even think of anything funny to say it is so awful.
