Not that I'm some kind of expert at all, but this is by far my favorite concert film. Sit back and let it enrapture you, and it will convert you to a Talking Heads fan. Genius musically and performance-wise. Transcends what many modern people see as 'that annoying eighties style'.
As for The Last Waltz, that film is amazing, but it does not have the combination of performance and music which makes SMS a piece of art, not simply a concert film.
