Review of Stop-Loss (2008) by Big Daddy Kane&Trade; — 04 Jun 2009
Once again it shows how fucked up the system is, and how nobody can't beat it. Either give in or change the person you are. Ryan Phillipe character plays a texan with a Ennis del Mar accent. He's been stop lossed, and is ordered by the President to serve his country for another 11 years.
God, how bullshit is that. Well his character decides to run, which is the logical choice given the cirumstance. Channing Tatum does allright for himself, but I don't get it. At first he's disturbed by the war.
He's hitting his chic making all this shit, digging a hole in the front yard, naked with a gun. And then the next we see him he's all ready to hit the shit and serve his country. A real head case.
Now the other hard ass in the movie which I forgot his name, but I'll just call him Brick is just a drunk that won't stop drinking, but wants to join the army, but still is drinking and causing shit.
So eventually he gets kicked out, so he goes out in the feild and blows his head clear off, even though we don't see it, but I like to think that he did that. In the end Ryan decides to give in and joins the army.
God, such bullshit. The guy will die before he even finishes his 11 years. Fine acting.
