Review of Stop-Loss (2008) by Kelley C — 18 Jan 2009
A beautiful film, on many levels. There is so much depth to all the characters, they are masterfully crafted, I really believed them. An outstanding portrait is painted here, a lot of dark corners explored.
The look into what a soldier experiences psychologically after returning home from war is unbelievable, and it is truly understandable why they would not want to return. And the man candy is plentiful, of course.
I think this movie was greatly overlooked, and the critics bashed it a little too much. I say, form your own opinion.
