Review of Stop-Loss (2008) by Benjamin M — 16 Feb 2010
Having no real idea of what to expect, Stop Loss was a film that surprised me. Ryan Phillipe and Abby Cornish expressed their talents well and even Tatum drew from his limited emotional range as an actor that parallels that of a serial killer, say, Dexter Morgan.
The film is never boring despite its length and it invites you to feel for many of the characters. It teaches you about what it is to be "stop lossed" and how such a thing can rock the world of any man or woman.
It's intriguing and at times emotionally moving. Take a look, if at least, to see Ryan Phillipe showcase his talent.
