I don't know why people are rating this movie so badly I mean it's way better then 2 and half stars people! I think it's because it can be very controversial. Because it hits points of both sides wheither you are pro or anti war.

Because if your anti then your angry at the goverment and then if your pro you can be angry at the soldier and I dont think that's how you should judge a movie. So what this movie is pretty much about is Sgt.

Brandon Kings(Ryan Philllippe) gets home after 2 tours of Iraq and he's supposed to be getting out of the army because hes done his job. But then he gets stop lossed which means that he's been called to do another tour in Iraq.

So he gets really into the moment and flees and tries to get someone who can get him out of doing another tour in Iraq. There's also also a lot more to the story but that's sorta the main point.

Anyways as you can see just from that alone that it can be very controversial. But I thought they did an awesome job on not leaning to one side and it had so many outlooks on it that it was really amazing.

The acting was superb, really awesome. The way the movie was put together was top notch and the way it unfolded really pulls at your heart strings. It's very emotional. The story is really incrediable and really well written.

They also pay attention to detail well and what can happen to soldiers when they return home with PTSD and other things, and how much the army means to these men along with the people that stand beside them.
