Review of Stonewall (2015) by Ws W — 29 Nov 2015
I never thought director Roland Emmerich would make something so ridiculously awful again after 10,000 B.C, but something like Stonewall tells me that he could. It's fictional story is pretty dull and by the numbers, but it's recreation of the famous Stonewall riots is highly offensive and inaccurate to real life, many key groups that participated are absent, particularly lesbians and trans people.
I never really knew much this film's controversy before but now, I understand why and I sorrowfully regret seeing something like this.
