Review of Stoned (2005) by Abby H — 14 Mar 2006
** STONED - Brian Jones was one of the founding members of the Rolling Stones - in fact, he was considered the leader. They were sometimes billed as "Brian Jones and the Rolling Stones" and he was paid more than Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. So, why isn't he as famous? It seems that he parted ways with the band over his drug use and the musical direction of the group. And then he was found dead in his swimming pool. This film is about the last 3 months of his life. It's vaguely interesting, but fragmented at times. You'd probably like this best if you're a huge fan of the early Stones or the 1960's in general. It opens 3/24 in select cities..
