Expertly made engrossing drama about wrecked folks. Cast quartet are phenomenal; dir, phot, music & ed work together with A-grade skill. De Niro hasn't been as good IN 14 YEARS; Norton is near-career-best; Milla Jovovich is a mini revelation; and Frances Conroy broke my heart.
One of the year's best, but a MASSIVE shame that it went straight to DVD, esp. when dreck like Larry Crowne, TF3, Bad Teacher etc all get full cinema releases.
