Review of Stone (1974) by Jennifer A — 19 May 2011
The problem with Stone is that it sets itself up for an intriguing relationship between Edward Norton (Stone) and Robert De Niro's characters but doesn't even focus on this relationship. In no way does their relationship change from the first time De Niro meets Stone in his office.
Instead the movie strays from their relationship and becomes a spiritual journey for the two men, one is finding faith and the other is losing all of his while sending his life down a whirlwind of disgrace and for those more spiritual, sin.
I will give some props to Milla Jovovich for being a great temptress and creating a character in which all actions seem to have dark motives behind them. Overall I was disappointed in watching the movie Stone.
