Review of Stomp the Yard (2007) by Justin G — 13 Dec 2011
Wow like bring it on for black people. I really was expecting more since it's a cult classic, but I wound up being so bored I started doing homework half way through it and not really paying attention.
The movie is like a black fraternity soap opera, really stupid every time they add a new twist you roll your eyes. Also, the whole your boyfriend is a macho jerk and go for the poor bad boy crap is so cliche.
You know everything that's coming, the acting is terrible, the plot, the dialogue just makes you want to claw your eyeballs out it's so corny and annoying. The only reason why this movie is famous is because all the actors are really good-looking and I can see teenie-boppers liking this crap.
The only good minutes are about the 10 total minutes of stomping competitions in the end and beginning and that's it. I also didn't like the director fast-forwarding through dance sequences. Yuck.
