Review of Stoker (2013) by Sean C — 19 Jul 2013
Memorable only for the cinematography and the passing novelty that it was written by Wentworth Miller of "Prison Break" fame, the plot ultimately crumbles into ludicrousness. Matthew Goode and Nicole Kidman also do fine work, but Mia Wasikowska's performance might be the least emotive performance I have ever seen in a film.
It works to an extent through the first half, but by the end of the movie it's like she's having a contest with herself to see how little she can react to anything happening around her.
