Any mystery is dissolved early on, and anything that might come as a revelation later on is undermined by a deus ex machina "twist" being shoehorned in. Shocks are for shocks as depravity settle in and humanity succumbs desperately to the darkness as in all Park films.

Blatant symbolism is scattered across the film which looks beautiful, but is superficial, like a teenager flirting with fads until it finds one that fits. Goode is brilliant, where as Wasikowsa plays Wednesday Addams with an apparently hereditary personality disorder.

Beautiful, but deceitfully orthodox.
