Review of Stoker (2013) by Terrence G — 01 Feb 2014
An effective and twisted thriller about a dysfunctional family with deep seated secrets. Director Chan-wook Park's use of poetic and dream-like imagery helps to create an ethereal quality to the film.
The film is slow to build, but well worth the wait, as the audience is drawn into a dark yet beautiful otherworld.
