Review of Stoker (2013) by David L — 07 Feb 2014
Lush, cool, and remarkably well directed/acted by a sterling cast. It gives the impresison ou were watching Twilight but infinitely better than that. The close up moments in this movie, the quietest of them all, without words, are perhaps the most moving --such as when uncle Charlie initiates Indiia into womanhood --its done with tendresse and dexterity I hadn't seen in other movies.
Love it! (and how can you not love seeing Nicole Kidman gasping for breath being strangled??).
