This spooky-thriller film is even to the same year's movie release, The Sixth Sense. Director-scripter displays plenty of imagination as a visual stylist: the key murder, shown through the eyes of the victim rather than the killer, is nothing short of chilling, in terms of conveying the sheer, ghastly horror of the moment.
