Review of Still Mine (2012) by Aaron B — 02 Aug 2013
This was easily on of the best films I've seen this year. It was wonderfully paced, beautifully photographed and solidly written. It ensconces you in the place the lives of the characters you're sharing.
The acting by Genevieve Bujold and rest of the cast is excellent. But its James Cromwell who shines above them all. This is another chance for an acting nomination for Cromwell, and so far as I've seen this year, a well-deserved Oscar win.
I've liked Cromwell since I first saw him on the short-lived TV series HOT L BALTIMORE up to his top-notch performance in L.A. CONFIDENTIAL. This film is well worth seeing and deserves a wide audience.
