Review of Still Alice (2014) by James B — 06 Mar 2015
This film completely captures the essence and struggles of a person suffering with Alzheimer's, and more specifically, early onset Alzheimer's. It's a perfectly crafted film, and brings an awareness to this awful disease that needed to be there.
With cinematography by Denis Lenoir, there are scenes that make you feel as though you're struggling with her--the blurring, foggy mind, the frustrations of forgetting. Julianne Moore gives a completely convincing performance that will leave you in tears, and in agony, feeling every feeling alongside her.
