Review of Still Alice (2014) by Barry T — 07 Mar 2015
Already winning every award around from a Bafta to an Oscar for Moore you go into this with huge expectations. And im happy to say it was excellant. Moore plays Alice who is diagnosed with altzeimers at 50.
Her husband, a great Baldwin and her kids all deal with the news as we see Alice getting worse and worse. Stewart is wonndeful and a slight revelation BUT this film belongs to Moore. She transforms into Alice in a non showy way and the subtle performance is one of the besty ive ever seen on screen.
You will cry but perhaps with hope more than sadness.
