Review of Still Alice (2014) by Robert J — 03 Jun 2015
We watched this expecting a good performance by Moore and a mediocre movie but we were pleasantly surprised. This was a good movie about a serious topic with stellar performances and some good themes, and I don't know why it wasn't nominated for an Oscar Best Picture.
There were some subtle themes that were enjoyable, including the relationship between Moore and her youngest daughter. Although not a splashy or gripping spectacle, this was an enjoyable and engrossing film to watch on a rainy Friday evening.
