Review of Still Alice (2014) by Matthew C — 23 Jun 2015
Julianne Moore puts in yet another terrific performance. She's unquestionably real, gritty, and deftly navigates every facet of an intelligent mind ravaged by disease. She definitely deserves her Oscar.
The overall film is well-written and relatable. One can easily identify with every member of this family (all good performances) touched by the devastating effects of Alzheimer's Disease. Their thoughts, worries, actions, and conversations all really ring true.
