Well done. The movie does a very good job of pacing to make you feel like Alice slowly falling deeper and deeper into darkness. It is never rushed. But, much like Alice, you can feel the inevitability of the end. There are a few emotional gut blow moments. But for the most part it is just a very methodical descent. Julianne Moore did a very solid job showing the descent.
I was nervous that the movie was going to be extremely hard to watch. For me, it was never unbearable. Though I am guessing that for people who have loved ones who have gone through this, the movie could really be heart wrenching.
