If nothing else, a decent look at what the disease does. I think the movie is particularly effective because Moore's character is so young when it hits. There are many movies where elderly people are affected.
So many that they lose their effect...it's something that could almost be seen as part of aging. In this movie, here is this young, attractive woman with her family right there.
