Review of Stigmata (1999) by Jay B — 24 Oct 2016
This film was all over the place, it just couldn't decide which story line it wanted to be in. Suddenly at the end it decides to haul in the discovery of another gospel, that part is true enough but it feels awkward tacked on at the end.
Save me Lord from bad horror/religious films where the priest gets seduced by the female lead who can't decide if she's possessed or just having a little Christ-like issue with wounds and blood.
For me, this was painful viewing.
