This movie was made to separate into three different episodes to show as normal episodes, and it shows. I think it could've been considerably better if they made it one unit (like the Futurama movie). Instead it feels like simply watching 3 average episodes in a row.

For me, Family Guy has been a lot more hit and miss than the other two "main" cartoons - Futurama and The Simpsons. The Simpsons has been steadily bad and Futurama has been steadily good. South Park is even more up and down than Family Guy. Family Guy seems to have its good episodes and its not so good episodes. There are moments in Family Guy where I have injured myself laughing. There are dud episodes, too.

This movie amounts to three average episodes to me. It lacked highs and lows. There's nothing wrong with an average Family Guy episode, it's entertaining. Just don't expect anything great, and consider whether you want to pay actual money for a show that's on 30 times a day on your digital cable.

Summary: If I knew that the movie was going to be shown on TV regularly, I probably wouldn't have bought the DVD. It's three episodes. It has its moments, but it doesn't have a spectacular moment like when God farts out the Universe (best Family Guy scene, hands down) or when Herbert the pervert sings about Chris while dressed as a woman. Thankfully, there are still quite a few clever moments. I slightly recommend it.

"Wow, look at me! Hanging out drinking with Ernest Hemingway, Van Gogh and Kurt Cobain. Still, it feels like we all got here a little earlier than we should have." - Brian Griffin.

"Yeah, well, I finally collapsed under the weight of my own genius and shot myself." - Ernest Hemingway.

"I could not reconcile my passion with the way people around me were living so I shot myself." - Vincent van Gogh.

"I hated the thought of my music becoming part of some bland corporate mechanism so I shot myself." - Kurt Cobain.

"Yeah I, uh... I got into the garbage and ate some chocolate." - Brian Griffin.

6.1/10..
