Review of Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine (2015) by Ryan B — 03 Jan 2016
Alex Gibney's third film this year is also his best. Dense and revealing, this two hour-plus doc on Steve Jobs strips away the veneer of iconoclast to present a complex portrait of a contradiction; revered for his acumen but loathed for his cruelty, if the film suggests anything it's that Jobs was complicit in his creation myth while at the same time often dogged by it.
One of the best films of the year.
