Review of Steve Jobs (2015) by Hazel H — 29 Nov 2015
Fascinating in the first half and Fassbender never disappoints but it all fell into Hollywood mawkishness towards the end, which is neither illuminating of the man's character nor satisfying in driving the narrative forward.
Kate Winslet is always a revelation, providing warmth and complexity much lacking in the others players. It just ends, and much like the Apple products it depicts, a concentration on style over substance, needing another IOS update to fix some fundamental flaws.
