Review of Steve Jobs (2015) by Rafael T — 02 Feb 2016
... Steve Jobs has some good performances, altough I think FAssbender was at least 10 times better in Macbeth, (cotillard was also better than Winslet which I guess was an ok performance). The pace is overly relentless, and makes the material feel void, like a bunch of "memorable" or "interesting" episodes and anecdotes on Steve Jobs being an asshole and somewhat kind of trying to reedeem a little, still, no surprise, cause' many people who knew him agrees he was an asshole most of the time.
That's perfectly fine, no movie should freely glorify people, and at least this is kind of a reminder that nobody is perfect. Overall, I don't think the acting in this movie to be leveled with some worthier movies (and performances) that got snubbed this year.
.. like Sicario, The Gift, Ex-Machina, Beasts of no Nation, Tangerine, and freaking Macbeth with Michael Fassbender (he is amazing there, and the source material is literally one of the best plays ever written by one of the best writters ever).
