Review of Steve Jobs (2015) by Matt A — 17 Nov 2016
Having suffered an abysmal box office performance, you'd be forgiven in thinking this will be a bad film, it really isn't. The performances are all fantastic with the obvious standout being Michael Fassbender as Jobs and also Seth Rogen who isn't in his usual role of goofy and loveable low life.
nearly always being set on the evening of a launch of one of his products, this is a study of how ruthless he is and how unlikeable a person he was to people in order to get his vision out into the world.
He had flaws, to some he was a genius, to others a showboat. Personally I thought the film was a little too short, even though it was 2 hours long, the run time went so fast, this was probably due to the intense dialogue and terrific performances from the cast, I genuinely never looked at my watch the whole time it was on.
That's a sign you have been entertained. It was criminal that not a lot of people saw this in the cinema, but do yourself a favour and give it a go.
