Review of Steve Jobs (2015) by Isadore H — 04 Sep 2016
Steve Jobs is directed by Danny Boyle, who borrowed a little bit from The Social Network for this film in my opinion. Despite that, the movie still works as an excellent look inside Steve Jobs, who is played by Micheal Fassbender, who effectively lights up the screen.
The film looks at several moments in Jobs life, either through flashbacks or at conferences where Jobs is unveiling a new product. We are given a look more at Job's relationship with several people more so than him making his famous computers.
I really enjoyed that, it showed Jobs as more than an inventor, but also a father, boss, and a very hard man to get along with. Several of the special effects were really amazing to me, the only issue I have with this is it would have been nice to see Jobs go through the stress of making these machines, and I also would've seen them go past the making of the iPod, something the film ended too early for.
Otherwise, Steve Jobs is a very fascinating film with great direction and amazing acting.
