Review of Stephanie Daley (2007) by Sudeep P — 11 Jun 2007
Not mainstream cinema... this movie is about Stephanie who is accused of murdering her new born, a result of teenage pregnancy. The movie deals with the various shades of emotions that she and her investigating psychologist (who is pregnant and having marital problems) go through.
The movie also deals with archaic pregnancy preventing practices that are followed in schools and the Christian Right beliefs that are predominant among a large no of people. This movie has no entertainment appeal in the crudest sense but has good dialogues and good potrayal of one to one relationships.
