Review of Step Up Revolution (2012) by Samuel Y — 08 Jan 2013
Highly energetic and not lacking of incredible dance sequences. Like a Kung fu action movie that has a weak plot just to get to the next action scene. The acting isn't great, but acceptable. The dance scenes were tremendous, though the overwhelming logistics required to accomplish that really take you out of the realism of the movie.
It would have been more effective if the planning of the flash mobs was more of a challenge, that would have made for a more believable premise. That could have elevated this movie to something more than just fluff and dance scenes.
Also, a little variation from all the dub-step could have been nice. Still, the film provides what it advertises, and the character are charming enough.
