Review of Step Up All In (2014) by Daniel V — 26 Aug 2014
It's hard to review this movie objectively due to my relation to the male lead and the crush I have on the female lead, but I will try. First off, let me say that I have never seen a Step Up movie not starring Ryan Guzman so I don't know if the lack of plot or decent dialogue is something the series has completely left by the wayside.
That being said, I am totally fine with that. These are movies that only need a thin plot because the plot is not the point. Story and dialogue just get in the way of what people are paying to see, young beautiful human beings dancing their fuckin asses off.
And that's what they DO!!! The dancing is once again top notch. It's just mesmerizing to watch these kids do their thing. I also think the leads have much better chemistry this time around. I know what Ryan Guzman can do and not just because he is my cousin, business partner and one of my best friends.
I believe in Ryan Guzman and though he is raw, he has the talent and charisma to reach the very top of the mountain. I see him learning with each role he takes whether it be as Sean the pretty boy dancer, Jake the Pretty Little Liar or Noah the Boy Next Door(In Jan 2015, this will make more sense), he takes everything he can from each experience.
He may not be ready to take over Indy's whip or to take the Oscar stage just yet but make no mistake, if he continues the path he is on and continues with his unparalleled work ethic coupled with his desire to be the best at whatever he does, there is no limit to what he can accomplish.
