Review of Step Up 2: The Streets (2008) by Alan Fong D — 08 Aug 2012
Director Jon M. Chu takes over the director chair as he expands the universe of the film by injecting raw, crisp street dance. Gone is the elegant ballet-inspired tone from the first film, this one offers a pulsating hip-hop soundtrack record that accompanies well with the kinetically vibrant dance visuals.
Good thing is that great dancing compensates for predictable plot and inexperienced on-screen performances.
