Review of Step Up 2: The Streets (2008) by Jamie M — 26 Dec 2012

Step Up 2 does have it's merits, but it isn't a perfect film. The story and plot isn't terribly engaging, but the characters are mildly interesting and the performances aren't exactly gonna blow you away, but they are still solid enough to work.

There is more focus on story in this film than there is in the third one, but the dance sequences are certainly more impressive in in Step Up 3. I managed to enjoy this film, but I probably wouldn't rank it near the top of my favorites.

Really a movie for fans of the franchise as it is unlikely to win over anyone new.
