Review of Step Brothers (2008) by Brian S — 22 Jun 2013
For a plot so simple and flat the film delivered a ton of laughs. It seemed there were times when the whole theater was cracking up. Will Ferrrell and John C. Reilly become step brothers that start out hating each other, but ultimately become the best of friends.
Most of it was random Ferrell humor like Chewbaca masks and a rap song called "Boats and Ho's." A move aimed at the 13 year old in each of us. Better than recent films like Blades of Glory, but nowhere near the likes of Anchorman or Old School.
B+.
