Review of Step Brothers (2008) by Lewis E — 01 Aug 2015
Admittedly went a long time ignoring friends' suggestions to watch this since I usually find Will Ferrell and John C.Reilly as good a pairing as curry and laxatives but 'Step Brothers' is worthy of most its praise.
Might be the best Will Ferrell comedy (not including 'Lego Movie') and its definitely the best John C.Reilly comedy. The initial constant immaturity of the humour did increase the temptation of the remote stop button but its jokes grow on you after a short while and importantly supporting players like Richard Jenkins and Adam Scott frequently contribute funny lines to ensure it's not just a film about two grown-ass men squabbling.
