Review of Step Brothers (2008) by Ike A — 17 Nov 2015
Stepbrothers is a movie about two 40 year old men, Brennan Huff (Will Ferrel) and Dale Doback (John C. Reilly) that still live at home with their single parents. They are enjoying their easy going life until Brennan's mum and Dale's dad meet and start a relationship.
When Nancy and Robert decided to get married is when the problems start. Dale and Brennan must meet for the first time, live together and share a room all in the same day. Dale and Brennan express their hatred for each while sharing a room by saying insults like, "I'm going to fill a pillow case full of bars of soap and beat you with it".
They pull pranks on each other to start with but all hell breaks lose when Dale suspects Brennan of breaking the gold rule, "Never touch Dale's drum set." I don't want to spoil to much about the movie so you will have to watch it to find out how stepbrothers, Dale and Brennan defeat their evil brother Dale, stop their parents from kicking them out of their house and start a million dollar entertainment business.
Stepbrother is a very funny and feel good movie, it masters the balance between stupid humour of the movie and a good story very well.
