Review of Step Brothers (2008) by Stephen J — 09 Jan 2016
It's the same joke over and over and over again. Ferrell and Reilly have great on screen chemistry together, but I'm over the slapstick, immature, gross-out humor and so are most adults. One would hope that Step Brothers is commentary on delayed adolescence in Western culture, but it is actually the product of delayed adolescence.
Movies like Step Brothers make us realize that Anchorman and SNL were the highlights of Ferrell's career; everything else is Ferrell trying to relive the glory days.
