Review of Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928) by Kris S — 11 Sep 2009
First Buster Keaton movie I've seen. And a very good one. Buster's fysique is incredible. It's very easy to see how Jackie Chan and others have taken a big influence from mr. Keaton. The film itself was also very interesting.
First half being a fairly simple love story and second being an absurd and psychedelic description of a town being stormed down by a hurricane and Keaton venturing through the wreckage. The hurricane sequence is an absolute treat for the eyes.
Though this is an old silent movie it is definitely worth watching.
